    Ourclient, a manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Food SafetyOfficer who will be responsible for or maintaining the highestlevel of Food Hygiene and Safety standards in the company andensure that all the staff is practicing good hygiene practices(GHP) throughout the SupplyChain.


    DutiesandResponsibilities:

    • Workmostly in the production areas, monitoring that food safetyprocedures are beingfollowed.
    • Ensureproper documentation and records are completed by the responsibleparties.
    • Helpmaintain the ISO 22000:2018 certification such as food productionarea and all areas involved in the Foodchain.
    • Enforcefood safety program and procedures, GMP policy and personal hygienepolicies.
    • Performand record Food Safety inspection and report any irregularities andtake proper correctiveaction.
    • Verifyand communicate to appropriate departments any findings as itrelates to food safetyissues.
    • Reportand assist with correcting any unsanitary conditions in foodpreparation and food storage/receivingarea.
    • Reportany required maintenance/replacement of food preparation equipment,surfaces andtools.
    • Assistto maintain, and update all records, manuals, training procedures,product specificationdocuments.
    • Assistwith preparation for any and all food safetyaudits.
    • Maintaincleanliness and sanitation of all foodpremises.
    • Ensuresthat all potential and real Health and Safety hazards are reportedand reducedimmediately.
    • Ensuresthat employees work in a safe manner that does not harm or injureself orothers.
    • Stimulatesand encourages a general awareness of health and safety in tasksand activities carried out within production andwarehouses.
    • Ensuresthat the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform,appearance, is maintained by all employees in supplychain.


    Requirements

    Therequirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge,Skill and/or ability required to perform this jobsatisfactorily

    • Shouldbe HACCP/Food Safetytrained.
    • Applicantsshould possess relevant educationalqualifications.
    • Workexperience of at least 3 years in a similar field isneeded.
    • Experiencein inspecting Food premises, writing reports, and filling thecheck-lists.
    • Specializedqualification in food safety and hygiene will be anadvantage.
    • Shouldpossess excellent communication skills and ability to liaise withallDepartments
    • Theideal candidate should be meticulous and pay attention todetails
    • Verygood computerskills.

Applicants should possessrelevant educational qualifications. Work experience of at least 3years in a similar field is needed. Experience in inspecting Foodpremises, writing reports, and filling the check-lists. Specializedqualification in food safety and hygiene will be an advantage.Should possess excellent communication skills and ability to liaisewith all Departments The ideal candidate should be meticulous andpay attention to details Very good computer skills.
