    The Job

    Our client is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Cybersecurity Specialist to join their IT team. The Cybersecurity Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures to protect company's networks, systems, and data from potential threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, extensive knowledge of industry best practices, and a proven track record of implementing effective security strategies.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Develop and implement an organization-wide cybersecurity strategy to safeguard networks, systems, and data. Cybersecurity Controls and data privacy.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify potential security weaknesses and propose appropriate remedial measures. Risk Monitoring and reporting.
    • Design and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
    • Monitor and analyze security events and incidents to identify and respond to potential threats promptly.
    • Evaluate and recommend security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption software, to enhance the organization's security posture.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to proactively mitigate emerging risks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the development and implementation of new systems and applications.
    • Conduct cybersecurity awareness training and educational sessions for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and best practices.
    • Respond to security incidents and conduct thorough investigations to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions.
    • Penetration Testing.
    • Maintain documentation and reports related to cybersecurity incidents, actions taken, and any necessary compliance requirements.
    • Establish strong relationships with external cybersecurity partners, vendors, and service providers to ensure effective collaboration and support when needed.

    The Profile

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with a demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, technologies, and best practices.
    • In-depth knowledge of network and system security principles, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, penetration testing and incident response.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct comprehensive security assessments and develop effective strategies.
    • Proficient in configuring and managing security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, log management systems, and antivirus software.
    • Experience with cloud security, data protection, identity and access management, and security incident and event management (SIEM) systems.
    • Familiarity with relevant compliance requirements, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
    • Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity.
