    MainResponsibilities:

    Tapping andservicing retailbusiness.

    Promptlyproviding and sending competitive quotations toprospects.

    Providing riskdetails for purpose ofunderwriting.

    Consulting onthe most effective cover for a particular need, while taking anumber of factors intoaccount.

    Setting upmeetings, preparing and delivering presentations to potentialclients.

    Developing andmaintaining good working relationships with intermediaries andexistingcustomers.

    Ensuringcredibility with clients by maintaining detailed knowledge ofcurrent market conditions and competitorsproducts.

    Delivering goodcustomer service by responding swiftly to queries and concerns fromclients.

    Providingmanagement with market feedback andintelligence.

    Sending outrenewal instructions two months inadvance.

    Maintaining aregular and accurate updated database of all prospective and closedbusiness and submitting a monthly report tomanagers.

    Ensuring strictadherence to practices, procedures and policy stipulated in thebusiness development operational manual including the Code ofEthics.

    Maintaining andupdating all forms of businesscontacts.

    Gatheringcustomer service feedback and reporting on intellectual andoperational issues raised byclients.

    Preparingregular managementreports.



    Requirements

    Requirements:

    Prospectivecandidates will possess or demonstrate the followingqualities:

    Anundergraduate degree in a business or social science relatedfield.

    Atleast 4 years experience in marketing of general solutions toorganized groups orindividuals.

    Good businesssense.

    Appreciableunderstanding of the Kenya insurance market, the prevailingbusiness environment and products by thecompetition.

    Goodcommunications skills, both written andverbal.

    Self-motivatedbut able to work as part of ateam.

    Goodorganizational and time-managementskills.

    Positiveattitude, self-motivated, self-driven and able to work with minimalsupervision.

    Good negotiationskills andpersuasiveness.

    Confidencepresenting to large groups ofpeople.

    Trustworthinessand discretion when handling confidentialinformation.

    Asmart appearance and professionalmanner.

    Bachelors degree in actuarial science, statistics, engineering,mathematics or any equivalent with a strong emphasis onmathematical proficiency Good Progress in the Institute ofActuaries examinations or any other recognized Actuarial bodies Atleast 2 years experience in an actuarial function focused onpricing of new products or repricing/ product review Practical endto end Product development experience Practical end to end Prophetmodelling experience will be an added advantage 4.3 Otherattributes Good interpersonal communications skills Good writingand verbal communications skills Sensitivity to Customer needsAbility to work as part of the team and independently TechnicalCompetencies Statistical/actuarial techniques Proficient knowledgeon the insurance industry in Kenya Knowledge of reinsurancearrangements and structures Knowledge of software packages orprogramming (e.g., Excel, R, Visual Basic for Applications) Productdevelopment knowledge Proficiency in Prophet coding will be anadded advantage 5.2 Core competencies Adhering to principles andvalues Delivering results and meeting customer expectationsSelf-driven and provide independent thinking Relationship buildingand Networking within and outside the organization Stronganalytical skills Learning and researching Presenting andcommunicating Information Achieving personal work goals andobjectives Connecting work to business objectives If you areinterested in the above role and meet the minimum requirements,please submit your application by Friday March 03rd, 2023.
