    We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Health and Safety Officer to join our team for the following role:

    Title: Health and Safety Officer

    Function: Health Safety & Environment

    Reporting to: HSE Manager

    Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

    Role Functions

    • Conduct safety inspections, audits, surveys, surveillance, and site auditing for compliance.
    • Conduct investigations of all accidents and Occupational Health issues and suggest recommendations.
    • Monitor activities during critical operations and carry out work permit audits.
    • Provide technical expertise on HSE-related matters to safely execute the operational demands as required.
    • Provide technical expertise on safety-related operation modules, including hazardous work and confined space entries, and participate in issuing permits as required.
    • Consult on other safety-related issues, including interpretation of safety procedures and regulations.
    • Conduct Health and Safety meetings monthly.
    • Responsible for being an active on-scene participant and leader of emergency situations.
    • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (firefighting, work at height, manual handling, handling hazardous material, etc.)
    • Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures, personnel orientations, training, and drills.
    • Support the development of HSE policies and programs.
    • Review existing policies and measures and update them according to legislation.
    • Inspect premises and the working conditions of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
    • Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances, etc.
    • Prevent unsafe acts and processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy and apply and implement Company Hazard Observation System.
    • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
    • Develop and implement HazCom program onsite.
    • Regular Maintenance of fire fighting system and Preventive Maintenance
    • Apply the company hazardous materials segregation onsite.
    • Enhance and develop ERGONOMICS onsite.
    • Maintain a JSA for all non-routine jobs that required a PTW.
    • Maintain SDS and update if needed.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or Higher Education
    • 2+ years of experience in HSE and the Chemical Industry
    • Currently based in Jeddah or Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
    • Saudi National ID holders only
