    The logisticsassistant is responsible for administrative support in ourlogisticsdepartment.

    The coreduties and responsibilities for the logistics assistant are listedbelow:

    Responsible for monitoring materials transported and delivered fortimeliness andaccuracy.

    Assist in loading/unloading, sorting, stocking, packing cargo,baggage and orders at the warehouse andairport

    Responsible for the review, verification, and reconciliation ofshipping documents as well as preparing Commercial Invoices,Manifests, Packing Lists etc. for ongoing shipments andflights

    Provide support in completing paperwork anddocumentation

    Carry out clerical work, including typing, consolidating, verifyingand editing documents, correspondence, and reports for thedepartment

    Responsible for entering data into spreadsheets from multiplesources, as well as verifying input and calculations with the useof tables

    Work with a system for swift retrieval ofdocuments.



    Requirements

    Requirements:

    At least a High School Certificate or equivalent academicqualifications

    Valid B or EB driverslicence

    Musthave 3 years practical knowledge of logistics and warehouseoperations.

    Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain rapport withcustomers, vendors and colleagues. The job also requires you toprepare shipping documents, flight and cargo manifests, so it isessential that you have good oral and written communicationskills

    Youare also required to have PC skills and working knowledge ofespecially advanced Excel with table knowledge, Word andemail

    To besuccessful you must be able to prioritize assignments and to managemany diverse taskssimultaneously

    You must be able to adapt to changing priorities, and also workovertime on nights and weekends on a regular basis during thecourse of the contract, be able tocommute.

    Have own reliable transport and mobilephone.
