    Equipment Technician will play an important role in ensuring the efficient operation of our camp's kitchen facilities. Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, refrigerators, and other appliances. Your technical expertise will help maintain a seamless food service operation within our remote camp.

    This position works collaboratively with other service lines to achieve the required resolution of maintenance issues for equipment, undertaking planned maintenance and reactive repairs.

    This role supports the Camp Operations Manager to ensure smooth facilities and kitchen operations by advising the Facilities Supervisor on permanent resolutions for reoccurring concerns or potential failure of equipment in a proactive approach. Major Duties & Responsibilities:

    Equipment Maintenance and Repair:


    •Assist in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, refrigerators, and dishwashers.


    •Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.

    Equipment Inspections:


    •Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment to identify issues and potential areas of improvement.


    •Report any equipment deficiencies or safety concerns to the Facilities Supervisor.

    Spare Parts Management:


    •Maintain an inventory of necessary spare parts and supplies for kitchen equipment repairs.


    •Coordinate with the Facilities Supervisor to order replacement parts as needed.
