- Responsible for the activities involved in providing accounting advisory services to all NEOM group entities/regions/ functions and deal with areas involving IFRS technical accounting and financial reporting matters
- Timely completion of accounting advisory and IFRS technical papers
- Timely completion of accounting support and IFRS guidelines to accounting and business functions across the group
- Audit closure of IFRS and technical accounting matters without any observations
- Preparation of IFRS technical memos for the applicable technical accounting matters and areas
- Provide IFRS and accounting advisory services to accounting and finance functions across NEOM group.
- Maintenance of group accounting policies and ensure consistency and alignment of policies applied across the NEOM group entities. Conduct regular review of accounting policies to ensure alignment with PIF Group accounting policies.
- Preparation and maintenance of the registry of significant accounting issues and track the progress and resolving of the matters for the financial reporting requirements of NEOM and audit requirements.
- Assess the new IFRS standards, updates and amendments on a regular basis and assess the impact of those to NEOM group entities.
- Provide the internal and external auditor with all audit requirements on a timely basis.
- Contribute towards the improvement of the department's policies, procedures and systems as required.
- 5-7 or more years' experience in IFRS technical and accounting advisory roles of which 3-4 years of experience in Big 4
- Working knowledge in financial closing, reporting and audit processes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly with MS Excel & PowerPoint
- Previous experience with SAP is a plus
- Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA
- Graduation degree/diploma or equivalent in financial and management accounting and/or Finance
