    Job Description:

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Commercial Manager to join our team

    In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh's new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, and contemporary residences in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Provide support and guidance on all commercial issues within the project and ensure that commercial support staff attain their maximum potential.
    • Interact with clients and address all inquiries related to commercial and contracts to maximize the profitability of projects.
    • Payment of contractors and consultants
    • Internal cost comparisons and cost projections
    • Analysis of cost over-run and other implications.
    • Negotiation of subcontracts.
    • Preparation of contractor pre-contract work packages; manage bid process; tender analysis
    • Negotiate final accounts
    • Maintain payment logs, variation logs, and claims logs
    • Review variation submissions
    • Review construction cost reports submitted by the Cost Consultant
    • Draft and review contractual letters
    • Review and respond to Claims
    • Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues
    • Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements
    • Ensure that quantity reconciliations are conducted accurately by the Cost Consultant
    • Assist in the preparation of internal invoices
    • Responsible for all financial contractual issues arising during the duration of the contract.
    • Identify legitimate contractual claim situations and prepare suitable and sufficient documentation for clients.

    What Required Skills You'll Bring:

    • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field and 15 years demonstrable experience in commercial roles; 10 years on civil engineering projects; 5 years in GCC.
    • Knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions.
    • Knowledge of relevant IT packages and applications.
    • Knowledge of partnering contracts.
    • Knowledge of traditional and design and build contracts.
    • Good team player and communicator.
    • Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
    • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in written technical skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
