    Duties:

    Responsible for the entire operation of his/her assignedcashier-section.

    Directly works and establishes good rapport & pleasantengagements thereby contributing to bringing a much higher customersatisfaction experience for (paying)shoppers.

    The incumbent is directly responsible for proper receiving andmanaging of cash-salespayments.

    He/she individually contributes to meet set short termobjectives.

    Assists customers waiting for check-out in astore.

    Scan& punch-in all items at the cashregister

    Collect payments and provide cash-change as isneeded.

    Responsible for counting contents of cash register drawer at theend of each shift ensuring correct cash/bank slips salescount.

    She/He must ensure that checks, credit card slips, voucher etc. areproperly accounted &organized.

    Must give each customer receipt detailing eachtransaction.

    Escalate unresolved issues with customers to directsupervisor

    May bag, wrap items or perform other duties asneeded.

    Maintain clean and orderly check outareas.

    Maybe asked to help merchandiser/stocker in re-stocking the shelves -as isneeded.

    Process merchandise returns andexchange.

    Cashiers may be asked to retrieve shopping carts from storeaisles.

    Answers customers queries related to services performed and/orproductspurchased.

    Must deal with all customers with tactfully andpolitely.

    Must greet all entering or leavingcustomers.

    Maintain a neat and friendly appearance, keep all areas secure andclean

    Handle/manage Customer Serviceissues.

    Demonstrate excellent communication skills to interact effectivelywithcustomers.

    Skills /Requirements:

    At least a High school graduate with 1 year related experience orhigher (college-leveldesired).

    Have an effective communication and customer serviceskills.

    Mustbe able to work on shift-hourschedule.

    Demonstrates ability to quickly and accurately process transactionsusing cash-register, calculator, and opticalscanners.

    Excellent interpersonal skills, ethical conduct andconfidence-levelrequired

    Canwork on fast-paced environment anddependable.

    Dedicated, thorough, honest, eye-for-detail, organized,numeric-skill amust.

    Customer-clientfocused.
