    JobDescription

    Director of BusinessDevelopment

    This position is responsible for theplanning and management of the overall sales marketing and revenuemanagement of the hotel to achieve optimal occupancy maximizingroom revenue contribution through a thorough understanding of allbooking channels and management of inventory and rate therein andmeeting/exceeding hotel profit objectives.

    What you will bedoing:

    • Develop and control sales inorder to achieve maximum profit from accommodation meetingbanqueting and food and beveragesales.
    • Responsible for the preparation andimplementation of the approved sales plan for thehotel.
    • Achieve a high yield percent ofreservations for Accor hotelsworldwide
    • Responsible for research anddevelopment of all potential markets for thehotel
    • Prepare the Sales action plan and followup
    • Supervise and control the hotels Salesactivities
    • Survey the Market comparison inorder to review our market place accordingly takes necessary stepif required
    • Responsible for creating new meansof increasing revenue in every cost center within thehotel.
    • Maintain detailed information on localcompetitors
    • Prepare required reports onschedule as set by the hotel GeneralManager.
    • Meet and greet travel agents tourescorts and conference executive and show facilities of the hotelnecessary
    • Supervise and ensure maximum salesgrowth from the hotels private lineprogram.
    • Entertain the clients within the hotelat the discretion and with the agreement of the GeneralManager
    • Represent the Sales department on theexecutive committee.
    • Respond to any changesSales functions as may be dictated by the industry company orhotel
    • Replace Director of Sales and take overentire responsibilities during his out ofstation
    • Following up the outstanding payment byhaving credit meeting with the General Manager credit Manager andreview all outstanding payment and take necessary action in orderto get the settlement of the duepayment.

    Qualifications

    Yourexperience and skillsinclude:

    • Relevant sales experience isan asset
    • Ability to focus attention on guestneeds remaining calm and courteous at alltimes
    • Highly responsible &reliable
    • Excellent communication skills bothwritten and verbal required
    • Stronginterpersonal and problem solvingabilities
